A new start but the same feeling

Where do I go from here?

Confusion arises and steers the thoughts

Making fear call the shots.

Stop to think, try and reflect

This new start now is how I repent.

Ending the doubt and following the messages being sent

To show myself that what happens next is my intent.

Old ways, comforting yet dangerous

One must change the steps, the phases.

Learning new thoughts, new phrases

Appreciating the new journey, the new stages.

The new start means a new beginning.

Written by me and not others who were in it

Trying to find out how to live it.

Understanding that mistakes are worth making

For the good and for the bad

This new life will be worth it

Because i'll dictate what becomes the past.
