Following blindly but questioning the motives.

Starting to doubt the words you speak but hoping the weight they carry doesn't lead to defeat.

Was it you or was it me?

Who was the first one to start mixing lies with ease?

Became open to the idea that the tease is better than what it could be.

Struck by the possibility that everything you said was make-believe.

But then it hit me.

I'm the one who determines what my life would be.

Not letting false hope jeopardize my integrity.

Learning that my trust shouldn't be something earned so easily.

Looking at you as someone who doesn't deserve a reply from me, because at the end of it…

All I have is me

And the thoughts of everything I could be.

Leading the outcomes and finally understanding the motives. My trust is powerful, but maybe you already know this.
